Hurricane Harvey

It is our desire as a church to help those who have lost so much in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. We are mobilizing our church and community to send as much assistance as possible to the Houston area.

On Sunday September 3rd and Sunday September 10th, we will begin our relief effort by asking our congregation and local community to come to church and drop off 5 gallon buckets with needed supplies. These supplies will be delivered to disaster relief agencies in Texas who will make sure that those who need the supplies will receive them.

Where: Appoquinimink High School
When: 9am to 3pm Sunday, September 3rd and 10th.
Why: To help disaster relief from flooding in Texas.
How: Collect items from list below and drop off at date and location listed above.

We are reaching out to the MOT community and asking that you please consider purchasing and donating any of the below items:

- 5-gallon bucket with re-sealable lid (new)
- Scouring pads. Remove from packaging. No stainless steel, no Brillo or SOS pads-no soap built in.
- Sponges (dry only) Remove from packaging. No cellulose sponges due to mold issues.
- Cleaning wipes (reusable, non-linen); Handi-wipes types; no terry cleaning towels. Remove from packaging.
- Liquid laundry detergent 50 oz. (2-25 oz. or 1-50 oz.)
- Household cleaner, 12-16 oz. plastic bottle
- Disinfectant dish soap, 16-28 oz. plastic bottle
- Clothes pins
- Clothes line (two 50 ft. or one 100 ft.) Cotton or plastic
- Dust masks
- Heavy-duty reusable latex gloves
- Leather palm work gloves; cotton with leather palm or totally leather
- 24-bag roll of heavy-duty trash bags, 33-45 gallon size. Remove roll from box.
- Insect repellant spray, 6-14 oz. plastic bottle w/protective cap
- Air freshener, 8 or 9 oz. bottle w/protective cap
